Summer Solstice 108 Sun Salutations

In yogic tradition, 108 is a sacred number because it represents wholeness, completion, and cosmic order:

  • 108 energy lines converge at the heart chakra

  • 108 Upanishads in yogic philosophy

  • 108 beads in a mala for meditation

  • 12 zodiac signs x 9 planets = 108

  • The distance between earth and sun = 108x the Sun’s diameter

So 108 symbolically represents the connection between the human body, nature and the universe.
